After a decade at Gordon’s helm, Dr. D. Michael Lindsay has shared his decision to step down as Gordon’s president next summer. The Board of Trustees expresses their unanimous, heartfelt appreciation for the significant contributions President Lindsay has made to Gordon College during his tenure, and they look forward to celebrating these achievements in the months ahead. Leadership transitions are an inevitable part of the life of any institution, and they are always best undertaken with the proper time and planning to allow for continuity and care in the proverbial passing of the torch. The Board of Trustees now begins the search process for Gordon’s ninth president. This website will serve as a reference for details on that process and related materials once a search committee is formally appointed. The goal will be to select and name a successor before the end of the academic year next spring and to facilitate a smooth transition between administrations over the summer of 2021.
