A great opportunity for high school students to get free, online lessons and make music over the summer!
Become part of a great, virtual concert performance and get free, online music lessons!
High school instrumentalists (rising high school students as well as graduates are also welcome) are invited to join us this summer for a virtual orchestra experience that will include live Zoom rehearsals, self-paced individual practice resources, and a FREE online music lesson with a Department of Music applied lesson instructor.
This weeklong ensemble opportunity will culminate in the production of a virtual performance of the first movement from English Folk Song Suite by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Check out the Gordon Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Bizet’s Les Toréadors and the Gordon Symphonic Band’s performance of Williams’ Midway March for examples of similar virtual performances produced by instrumental ensembles at Gordon College.
Summer is for singing with free, online voice lessons!
The Gordon College voice faculty are offering a free, online voice lesson to any high school student this summer (rising high school students as well as graduates are also welcome). The personalized lesson will be taught online—via FaceTime, Skype, or Zoom—at a time that is convenient for the student. The only requirements are that the student has access to one of these online platforms and that they enjoy singing! Free voice lessons will be available all summer long!
