Reid Maclellan, M.D.

Reid Maclellan, M.D. is the Founder and CEO of Asclepius, Inc, an artificial intelligence company with a mission to restore the care in healthcare and improve quality of life for both patients and physicians. Dr. Maclellan is also an Instructor of Surgery at both Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital where he practices and teaches translational medical research. As a key opinion leader in the fields of healthcare technology, artificial intelligence, vascular anomalies, and lymphedema, Dr. Maclellan frequently is invited to lecture both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Maclellan completed a general surgery internship at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga. He then completed plastic surgery clinical and research fellowships at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Maclellan graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He received his M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He earned a post-doctoral Master in Medical Sciences Degree in translational medical research from Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Maclellan currently serves on the Board of Directors for six organizations, including both for-profit and not-for-profit. He is a director of Diagnos, a publicly-traded international company focused on artificial intelligence healthcare platforms. Dr. Maclellan is a proud trustee of Gordon College. He sits on all three of the Maclellan Family Foundations’ boards: Maclellan Foundation Inc, Christian Education Charitable Trust, and RL and KH Maclellan Foundation (Treasurer). He is the chairman of Above the Clouds. He also is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for both Nanotronics, a privately-held artificial intelligence pioneer, and BioMedX Group, a privately-held medical technology company.

Dr. Maclellan and his wife Brooke split their time each month between their home on Lookout Mountain, TN and Boston, MA. They attend and are actively involved in Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church. The Maclellans enjoy traveling, experiencing different cultures, and supporting the arts.
