You could also venture west to taste maple syrup in Vermont or continue up to Maine, where the mountains meet the sea in Acadia National Park. The North Shore of Boston offers abundant access to explore mountain terrain within a few hours’ drive from our Christian college. Want to stay at sea level? There are hundreds of miles of trails within a short radius of Gordon to get your hiking fix closer to home.

The Sea

Once you breathe salty sea air, it’s a smell you’ll never forget. If seafood is your thing, it doesn’t get fresher than New England. Spend a Saturday at Crane Beach, with soft sand and a long coastline that make it one of the best beaches on the East Coast. Looking to soak up some sand after class? Singing Beach (named for its squeaky sand) is just five minutes from campus, perfect for busy college students. Looking for a beach with ample swimming? You’ll want to check out Good Harbor! Whether you are looking to spend five minutes or five hours, with nearly 20 beaches within driving distance, the sea is never far from campus!
