Gordon College Retirement Plan
Gordon provides a pre-tax 403(b) Defined Contribution Retirement Plan through TIAA for permanent employees age 25 or over and scheduled to work at least 20 hours a week. The Plan features a 5% College Match for the employee's 5% pre-tax contribution.

Group Supplemental Retirement Annuity
A supplemental 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity (TDA) Plan (GSRA contract) offers opportunities for pre-tax contributions to employees scheduled to work at least 20 hours a week. (No age limit). This could be for those under age 25 or those who want additional contributions beyond the 5% to the Retirement Plan. Employees under 25 will have their 5% contribution to this plan retroactively matched when they join the Retirement Plan.

Emeriti Retirement Health Solutions
The Emeriti Program provides unique benefits for employees who retire from Gordon College. Its innovative design features:

  • Emeriti Health Accounts–A tax-advantaged way to invest and accumulate assets to help meet medical expenses in retirement, with investment choices and administrative services provided by TIAA.
  • Emeriti Health Insurance Options–A specially designed health insurance program for retirees and their dependents that complements Medicare, underwritten by Aetna Life Insurance Company.
  • Emeriti Reimbursement Benefit–An innovative, tax-free way to pay for other qualified out-of-pocket medical expenses.

Gordon College makes semi-monthly contributions to the Emeriti Retiree Health Account for all employees scheduled to work at least 20 hours a week and are age 39 or over. Those employees may make their own post-tax contributions to this plan as early as age 25. Funds are invested and held by TIAA and are used in retirement for reimbursement of medical expenses including premiums for supplemental medical insurance.
