Charley George is a global finance executive with 20+ years of progressive financial and strategic leadership experience with world-class businesses in financial services, manufacturing and technology industries.
A Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and a graduate of both NYU’s Stern School of Business and Penn State University, Charley started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers and then held roles of increasing responsibility with CIGNA, Merrill Lynch, as a Partner with Hay Group, a global management consulting firm, and at Innovairre Communications, a leading nonprofit fundraising firm.
Charley is married to Julie George and is the proud dad of five young daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and coaching his daughters’ basketball teams.
Charley is an active member of Seven Mile Road Church in Philadelphia and is also a fundraiser for Bombay Teen Challenge, a nonprofit organization that rescues women and children trapped in the red light district of Mumbai, India.
As a first generation immigrant, Charley has witnessed firsthand how a solid educational foundation rooted in deep Christian values has the potential to transform lives and lift families out of poverty. He is passionate about utilizing his background to help advance the mission of Gordon College and provide well-rounded and meaningful educational opportunities to the next generation of Christian leaders.
