Parents & Families

The Orientation program is an important aid to the College transition for both students and their families. We've designed the Orientation schedule to give both you and your student the best start possible at Gordon College.

Family Activities During Orientation

Parents and Families are invited to join for Arrival Day and Family Day on August 19th and 20th.

What will the weekend look like?

Students will sign up for a move in time on Friday, August 19th between 8:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

We will have several types of sessions on Friday and Saturday for families to attend. You will be able to hear from President Hammond, meet faculty, learn about campus resources and more! We will end our time with one of our favorite Orientation traditions the Gathering of Affirmation and Assurance on Saturday.

What is the Gathering of Affirmation of Assurance?

The Gathering of Affirmation and Assurance is a service of worship, commitment and honoring students and families before God. This is a highlight for families, and we encourage all families to stay for the service at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 20th.
