Orientation Crew Leader Application

Thank you for considering lending your strengths to the Orientation Staff. We are searching for 60+ O-Crew Leaders to welcome new students and their families! Step 1 - Complete this application, reading all instructions carefully. Step 2 - Sign up for a group interview at the Office of Student Life. Interviews will take place February 28-March1. Questions about the role and the expectations for it can be found on the job description page www.gordon.edu/orientationleaders or by talking with Matt Vaselkiv, Assistant Director of Student Success, or Orientation Coordinators and Core Staff.

14. For a 21st Century College Student, what are two or three key issues in their transition to a distinctly Christian, residential College of the Liberal Arts and Sciences. Then, how should Orientation programming address those issues? And, how should an Orientation Crew Leader help in those transitions?

15. Acknowledge you've read and understood: Orientation Crew Leaders begin training for the Fall Orientation program in the Spring and will have some learning and contact with new students expected over the summer from a distance. O Crew Leaders will also have pre-season Fall training on campus in the days before the formal Orientation program begins. O Crew Leaders arrival on campus is Aug 20; Orientation Training week is Aug 20-24. Please verify you understand these timelines and expectations. Questions about special circumstances can be discussed with Chris Carlson, Dean of Student Success, or any Coordinator or Core Staffer during the selection process.
