Prospective Students

Prospective students are invited to apply for Gordon's Scholars Programs during their admissions process:

A. J. Gordon Scholars

To be eligible for consideration, first-year applicants must complete the Gordon College Admissions application by December 20. Once admitted, eligible students will receive an email with a personal invitation to apply to the A. J. Scholars programs which will include a link to the additional scholars application. Evidence of academic strength, and sincere curiosity and initiative in an area of interest as well as a desire to serve local communities is desired.

This application process includes:

Apply: Complete the scholars application and essays by January 19 (This will be sent with your personal email invitation)
Visit: Attend an Honors Day on Monday, January 22, or Monday, February 5
- Contact us if travel is not possible
Interview: Complete a virtual interview before Honors Day with program directors and staff.

Clarendon Scholars

To be eligible for consideration, first-year applicants must complete the Gordon College Admissions application by January 3. Once admitted, eligible students will receive an email with a personal invitation to apply to the Clarendon Scholars Program. Demonstration of a heart for service through leadership in church, community, and school in urban environments is desired.

This application process includes:

Apply: Complete an honors application and essays by January 19 (This will be sent with your personal email invitation)
Visit: Attend Clarendon Day on Monday, February 19*. During the day you will:
- Complete two in-person group interviews.
- Learn more about the program and its impact on campus and beyond
- Meet current scholars and hear their stories
Interview: Schedule a virtual interview, through admissions, with an alumnus of the program via Zoom. Interviews will be held from January 30–February 9.

*Attendance at Clarendon Day is required to be considered for the scholarship. Contact us if travel is not possible.

Dokes Ministry Scholars

To be eligible for consideration, first-year applicants must complete the Gordon College Admissions application by December 20. Once admitted, eligible students will receive an email with a personal invitation to apply to the Dokes Ministry Scholars Program. Evidence of academic strength, generous curiosity, and interest in ministry is desired. Students must plan to major in Christian Ministries or Biblical Studies to be eligible for the program.

This application process includes:

Visit: Attend an Honors Day on Monday, January 22, or Monday, February 5

Interview: Complete a virtual interview before Honors Day with program directors and staff.

Global Honors Scholars

To be eligible for consideration, first-year applicants must complete the Gordon College Admissions application by December 20. Once admitted, eligible students will receive an email with a personal invitation to apply to the Global Honors Scholars Program. Evidence of academic strength, and a desire to creatively and thoughtfully address significant global issues and a willingness to listen and learn from global voices is desired.

This application process includes:

Visit: Attend an Honors Day on Monday, January 22, or Monday, February 5
