Apply to a Four-Year Honors Program

Global Honors Scholars 

To be eligible, first-year applicants must complete the Gordon College application by December 20

Students who are admitted to the College and receive the top merit-based scholarship, the Founder's Scholarship, will be invited to apply for the Global Honors Scholars program.

This application process includes:

  • Completion of the honors application by January 5 (sent along with your email invitation).
  • Attend Honors Day in person on January 24. Accommodations will be made for students who are unable to attend in person by emailing .
  • An honors interview via Zoom with program directors and staff.

A. J. Gordon Scholars

To be eligible, first-year applicants must complete the Gordon College application.

Students who are admitted to the College and receive one of our top two merit-based scholarships, the Founder's or Harold John Ockenga scholarship, will be invited to apply for the A. J. Gordon Scholars program.

This application process includes:

  • Complete an honors application before January 5  (sent along with your email invitation).
  • Attend Honors Day in person on Monday, January 24, or arrange a campus visit in advance of January 24. Accommodations will be made for students who are unable to attend in person by emailing .
  • Complete an honors interview before January 24 via Zoom, or in-person on your visit to campus with program directors and staff.

Clarendon Scholars

To be eligible, first-year applicants must complete the Gordon College application by January 3 (admitted students who are eligible will receive the Clarendon Scholars application, which is due by January 21).

Students who are admitted to the College and demonstrate a heart for service through leadership in church, community, and school in urban environments, will be invited to apply for the Clarendon Scholars Program by email.

This application process includes:

  • Completion of the Clarendon Scholars application by January 21 (sent along with your email invitation).
  • Schedule a virtual interview, through admissions, with an alumnus of the program via Zoom. Interviews will be held from January 31-February 11.
  • Attend Multicultural and First Generation Day in person on Monday, February 21
  • Complete two group interviews while on campus.
