The Family Adventure Day provides young people and their families with a fun and exciting outdoor adventure learning experience. Team building and problem solving activities are used to demonstrate the power of encouragement, respect and servant leadership. The high challenge course helps families develop a sense of trust, confidence and perseverance. The canoeing or kayaking options might serve as an introduction to two great family activities for future outings. The minimum age for participants is 8 years old.
Our hope is that these adventure activities will provide families with an increased appreciation and understanding of the value of spending quality time together in the outdoors. Part of the day will include debriefing and discussions to explore how the things learned can make a difference and be applied at home where you live, work and play.
Family Adventure Day is offered through Adventure Pursuits, a program of Gordon College’s La Vida Center for Outdoor Education and Leadership.
