Apply to Elevate

Elevate 2020 (July 6–11) has been canceled due to the (COVID-19) coronavirus pandemic. Instead, we will be launching an Elevate Weekend program over the course of the upcoming academic year. Stay tuned for more details!

Once you have been nominated you are welcome to apply! Haven’t been nominated but still interested in the program? No worries! Send us an and we’d be happy to help you out. Follow the steps below to apply to Elevate:

Please note the following application dates:

  •  Early Bird Application: January 27th–February 7th, 2020 (apply in this time and receive a $50 discount)
  • Regular Application: February 8th–28th (no change to program cost)
  • Late Application: February 29th–March 6th (you are still able to apply, but there is an additional fee of $50 added to the program cost)

    Applying to Elevate:
    Both parts are required for you to be considered for admittance to the program.

    Application Part I: Personal application and academic pursuits.


    Application Part II: Short responses about real-world issues from your local community that you are curious and passionate about.


    What is a Real World Issue? Check out the issues past cohorts have worked on to see what other students have submitted and voted to work on.

    Deadline for Applications I and II: February 28, 2020

    Acceptance and Registration:

    Keep an eye on your inbox after you have submitted your application as we will send notice of your admission to the program via email.

    If you are accepted, your next step is to register! Information will be sent via email and snail mail. 

    Registration Requirements:

    • Registration Confirmation Form
    • Medical Forms (signed by your primary care provider)
    • Risk and Media Release Form (signed by your parents if you are under 18)
    • $300 Deposit (sent via check or wire transfer). Please contact the director, , for questions regarding payment options.

    Travel Arrangements

    • When you book your travel arrangements, please submit that information on the transportation form.
    • If you do not book your flight or are unsure of your travel arrangements before the registration deadline, please submit your travel information by June 15.

    Registration Deadline: March 27, 2020

    Late Registration
    If you have been accepted into the cohort, but are registering after the regular deadline, please email director  to ensure your seat is still available, as we fill seats on a rolling basis after the deadline.

    Preparing for Elevate:

    You have joined a cohort of incredible students from all over the United States and the globe! Once your registration has been turned in, we will send you the next steps to prepare for Elevate.

    Next Steps:

    • Take your online StrengthsQuest assessment using the code we send you. Can’t find your code?
    • Vote on the top 12 real-world issues you would like to work on at Elevate. The Elevate staff reads through all of the issues submitted and selects the top 12 that stand out as meaningful, collaborative, and local. You get to choose which of the 12 will be worked on during Elevate!
    • Send us your travel arrangements (flight information or driving information) by June 15.
    • Send us your final payment by June 15.  Please contact the director, , for questions regarding payment options.
