A. J. Gordon founded Gordon College in 1889 to "prepare the people of God to do the work of God." Throughout its history, Gordon College has sought to be a place of preparation for the next generation of Christian leadership. From its origins as the Boston Missionary Training School in the basement of the Clarendon Street Church in Boston to our modern picturesque suburban campus in Wenham, MA, Gordon has sought to be a partner with the local church.
That spirit of purpose lives today on the Gordon campus and is captured in the college's mission statement: "Gordon College strives to graduate men and women distinguished by intellectual maturity and Christian character, committed to lives of service and prepared for leadership worldwide." It is our desire that our students become world changers. We recognize that the same passion to encourage people to be servant leaders exists in the body of Christ as found in the local church.
It is with that shared passion that we are pleased to provide resources for both the leadership and membership of the local church. There are many opportunities for members of the community to grow in their walk with Christ through seminars, workshops, and special presentations made at Gordon. This page will provide a regular listing of those opportunities. We invite you to join us.
