Carolyn Michaels Kerr teaches writing and American Literature at Salem State University, Montserrat College of Art, and Gordon College on the North Shore of Boston. She has had fiction, nonfiction, and poetry published in a variety of literary journals. Her essay, “Renee,” published by The Missouri Review, was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She has also published articles on Flannery O’Connor in Flannery O’Connor Review and Christianity and Literature. She has an M.A. in English Literature from Salem State University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College.
