Saxophonist Amy McGlothlin is a dynamic and flexible performer and teacher with studies in a wide range of performance genres. As a teacher, Amy is able to quickly adapt to each student's learning style to bring out their potential. She is a sought after clinician and teacher, endorsed by D'Addario. As a performer, Amy has commissioned works from several composers, including James Hamel, Shih-Hui Chen, and John MacDonald, and is a frequent co-commissioner of works from the World Wide Concurrent Premieres & Commissioning Fund.

Dr. McGlothlin is the director and founder of the Woodwind Day workshop at Salem State University for middle school and high school students from the local area. In 2012, she hosted the North American Saxophone Alliance Regional conference at Salem State University, where she serves on the applied faculty and is also the conductor of the concert and pep bands.
