Advisory councils are charged with providing advice, advocacy and philanthropy to the areas of Gordon College they serve and, through their work also increase the understanding of the Board of Trustees and other friends of the College in various operations of the College. The advisory councils at Gordon are designed to extend the reach of the College, to provide expert counsel to the College’s leadership, and to support the College and its leaders as they work together to advance the mission of Gordon College.
The Alumni Advisory Council provides the college with an alumni sounding board, vetting current initiatives, providing thoughtful feedback on how to strengthen the College’s plans. The AAC also provides active and constructive assistance to the alumni office and helps to set annual goals and objectives. The AAC’s goals and objectives are for the purpose of helping the Alumni Office strengthen engagement and retention of Gordon alums as part of the Gordon community.
The CCI Advisory Council will provide opportunity for strategic thinking and advisement from top leaders with diverse perspectives to help us address the critical issues of vocational exploration and professional preparation that Gordon faces today. We are committed to preparing faithful leaders for all sectors and industries. The expertise and creativity of the council members will enrich our programming and relationships for the sake of our students and the entire Gordon community. As a result, our students will be well-prepared for lives of faithful work, service and influence.

Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Advisory Council
The CEL Advisory Council will harness entrepreneurial and innovative thinking from experienced professionals to enrich and evaluate the vision and efficacy of the Center. Thinking boldly about entrepreneurship and the opportunity before us at Gordon to equip and send out change-makers, the Council supports the CEL staff in fulfilling their mission and offers collaborative thinking through their contributions, not only as part of the council at large, but also through topic-specific working groups that align with particular member interest and area of expertise.
The Center for Faith and Inquiry seeks to form thoughtful Christians for global engagement. We seek to bring forward timeless truths, presented well, on the salient issues of our day. We seek speakers, scholars, scientists and artists whose style and content are accessible, captivating and relevant to have a shaping, formative effect on the mind of the Church. The CFI Advisory Council will drive the CFI’s mission and vision through strategic planning, counsel and networking concerning the activities, securing of key leaders, and the provision of funding for the CFI’s programs, events and initiatives.

Global Advisory Council
The Gordon College Global Advisory Council – comprised of alumni, parents, supporters and friends—serves as a primary source of external advice and counsel to the president and college leadership. The Council’s portfolio is ‘global’ in the sense that it will examine, discuss and recommend on the widest range of issues that Gordon faces – from academic offerings and Gordon’s emergence into international partnerships to innovative use of our physical campus forming our students for service and leadership. The Council is helping the President and Trustees chart Gordon’s course for the future, to expand its impact and vision.

Members of the La Vida Advisory Council provide advice, advocacy, and support to La Vida. The LVAC helps to advance La Vida's mission of catalyzing character formation, cultivating community, and developing servant-leadership skills in individuals, groups, and organizations through outdoor experiential education. The LVAC provides expert counsel to the College's leadership and supports the College and its leaders as they work together to advance the mission of Gordon College and La Vida.

The Gordon College Parent Advisory Council (PAC) exists to support the mission of Gordon College and to strengthen communication and connection between parents and the College. Collaboration between the PAC and the College will enrich and enhance students’ education and experience at Gordon, while providing information and advice about parent questions and concerns to College administrators. PAC members set a leadership example through philanthropic support and advocacy of Gordon’s mission.
