William Kirkley
Applied Instructor of Clarinet
William Kirkley has taught clarinet at Gordon College since 1992, after overseeing clarinet studios at Southeast Louisiana State University and Eastfield Junior College. Mr. Kirkley is a founding (and current) member of the board of directors of the Lexington Symphony; he is the principal clarinetist and twice has been a featured soloist. Applied Instructor of Saxophone
David Stevens is a Boston-based saxophonist and multifaceted musician, with a diverse career as a performer, educator, and music administrator. As a saxophonist and woodwind doubler, he is active in classical, New Music, jazz, musical theater, and improvisation. Applied Instructor of Bassoon
Hailing from British Columbia, Canada, Janet Underhill has been a bassoonist, teacher, conductor and administrator in the Boston area for over 25 years. Currently, she is the director of Preparatory Winds for the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras and Director of Senior Wind Ensemble for Community Music Center of Boston. Applied Instructor of Flute
Eileen Yarrison has taught flute courses and has been an orchestra mentor at Gordon College since 2008. She also serves on the faculty of the Indian Hill School of Music and maintains a thriving private studio in Beverly, Massachusetts. Dr. Yarrison has been teaching flute for nearly 30 years.
