For startups of any type: business or nonprofit
Challenge Date: April 23, 2014
$10,000 prize split between top three pitches
The Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership is pleased to announce its first annual Social Venture Challenge. Every spring, the Center sponsors a campus-wide challenge for Gordon student teams representing a variety of non-profit and business ventures aiming for impact.
We want students to dream, imagine, and dare to create a business venture that will make a difference, and instigate their own impact in the world.
This year’s competition will be held on April 23, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the KOSC Chairman’s Room. (A reception begins at 6:30 p.m.) Leading up to the competition, the Center provided teams with experienced peer mentors to guide them along the process of fashioning their ten-minute pitch and two-page executive summary. While starting a venture can be daring, we want this journey to be a navigable adventure.
There will be a $10,000 prize split between the top three pitches as well as professional mentoring for the winning team to go and actually start their enterprise.
It all starts with one idea, and we want to hear yours!
