What are the dates and times of SMA?
June 27–July 1; 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. daily

How much does it cost?
$275 per student
Sibling discount $225
Children's Choir discount $225

Are their scholarships available?
There are a limited number of need based scholarships available. Please submit your request in writing stating your financial need.

How do I register?
You can complete and submit the online registration form, or download and print a hard copy of the registration form and mail it in.

Is there an early drop-off or late pick-up available?
Special arrangements can be made, please contact Kristen Harrington, Program Coordinator at .

Who will be with my child during the day?
Your student will always be with a staff member who is responsible soley for their comfort and safety. In addition, teachng staff and administrators are around for most of the day. Your student will never be unattended.

Are lunch and snacks provided or do I need to send them?
Lunch and snacks are both provided. Please let us know if any special food arrangements need to be made.

What does a typical schedule look like for the day?
Here is an example of what the daily schedule might look like:

8:30–9 a.m. Music Theory
9–11 a.m. Ensemble Rehearsals
11 a.m.–12 p.m. Recreation and Lunch
12:15–12:45 p.m. Performance by college and professional staff
1–2 p.m. Elective Class
2:15–3:30 p.m. Ensemble Rehearsals
3:30–4:30 p.m. Pool and/or rock climbing wall recreational activity


What recreational opportunities are available?
Olympic-size swimming pool, rock wall, basketball, games led by staff and more.

How many elective classes will my student be taking?
Each student will take music history or theory and one other elective class. Every effort will be made to give them their first choice.

What elective courses are being offered?
We are offering World Music, Composition, Musical Theater and Leadership in the Music Program.  All courses are subject to enrollment.

My student would like to take voice/instrument lessons. How does this work?
Private lessons are available for an extra fee of $40/hour and may be scheduled during recreation time.

My child would like to participate in band and chorus (or another combination). Is this possible?
No, your student will need to make a choice between the two.

How are students grouped in classes and ensembles?
Students are grouped by grades 4–7 and 8–12 for ensembles and classes.
