BELIEVE IN THEIR DREAMS

The Summer Music Academy (SMA) at Gordon College, a one-week daytime program for fourth through twelfth graders, is designed to help aspiring singers and instrumentalists develop their talent, build confidence and strengthen technique.

Program participants are exposed to an array of educational experiences that challenge and motivate them to fulfill their musical potential-whether or not they choose to pursue careers in music.

The SMA offers serious learning within a fun atmosphere, from eurhythmics to skill development to music theory--with time allotted for recreational activities that let kids be kids.

Of course, no program would be complete without the opportunity to perform-something all students will do each day in front of peers, parents and members of the community. Participants will also benefit from performances given by visiting artists and Gordon music faculty and students.

The Academy is directed by Justin Pittsley, director of bands at Middleboro High School, Middleboro, Massachusetts and Sandra Doneski, assistant professor of music at Gordon and director of the popular Gordon College Children's Choir and Music Mania programs.

Daily Schedule: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Who Should Attend?
Fourth through twelfth grade singers and instrumentalists who enjoy music and desire to grow as musical artists.

Cost
$299 includes materials, lunch and use of the Bennett Athletic Center pool and rock wall. Private lessons available for extra fee. Sibling discounts available. Call for details.

Scholarships
Available on a case-by-case basis. Include letter with application form, outlining your need for financial assistance.
