Salzburg Summer School

July 9 – August 13, 2012

The five-week Salzburg Institute of Gordon College Summer School provides an exciting opportunity to study in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and one of the most significant cultural centers in the world. Studying in Salzburg offers undergraduate students both a vibrant academic experience in a city with an incredible musical and cultural heritage, and the intellectual and spiritual challenge of collaborating with churches and Christian institutions.

The Salzburg Institute Summer School offers undergraduate students academic scholarship, artistic excellence, and opportunities for spiritual reflection. Through readings, seminars, discussions, concerts, frequent local excursions, and a four-day study trip to Vienna, students are immersed in German Christian thought and culture.

The Summer School is designed for undergraduates interested in music, visual arts, history, literature, German, philosophy, theater, film studies, communication arts, and biblical studies. Students can earn up to 8 undergraduate credits. All courses, except for German 101, are taught in English.

"I love how the professors at Gordon push students out of their comfort zones. The constant push for growth comes from every single faculty member, and can be seen in every class, seminar, or semester long experience. I know some of my greatest growth happened this summer from the faculty involved with the Salzburg Institute, and I cannot wait to see how that experience and push will continue to shape me in the future."
