The Great Conversation Salteams

Weekly service engagement through our SALTeams (Serve And Learn Teams) forms the bulk of the engagement we do in Lynn. As an introductory experience in Lynn, about half of the freshman class come through their freshman seminar course, The Great Conversation, and join a SALTeam serving at one of our many community partners across the city for one to two hours a week tutoring, mentoring, teaching arts and crafts, playing sports, helping with ESL or citizenship classes, teaching computers, etc.

Site Coordinators
Site coordinators are unpaid leadership positions offered at various community partners who help oversee the SALTeam under the Gordon in Lynn intern.

How do I get involved?
SALTeams are primarily open to freshman in service Great Conversation classes. If you are an upper-classman and want to get involved, feel free to contact us to see if there's space on a SALTeam or to look at other ways to get involved.
