What brought you to Gordon?
I fell in love with Gordon when I was seven years old. My Mom and Dad took me to the Christmas Gala held in the chapel. I heard the College Choir perform and my little heart burst! I knew right then that Gordon was where I wanted to go for undergrad. I had an amazing four years as a student, three of which, involved serving as an RA (Evans Hall for two years and Bromley Hall for one)! My love for Student Affairs began then. I have worked in the wellness field for almost a decade and in 2015 had the opportunity to join the Res Life Staff at Endicott College. I loved my time there, but my heart has always been at Gordon, and I am excited to be back in my “home” community serving the college in this role!

What is your favorite part about working in Residence Life?
The people! I feel that it is a privilege to care for the hearts and dreams of these students. Watching every student unveil what their vocation, purpose, and passions are through their college experience is unlike anything else! This is the time of life to develop habits that will take them further into adulthood. I love being able to mentor, celebrate and support our students as they embark on this journey.

What is your favorite thing about Gordon?
I love all of the outdoor space to play, and also the community as a whole. There really is such a difference in the people at Gordon. The Holy Spirit is evident in the lives of the faculty, staff and students and you can feel it when people gather together. It’s a really special place. I also love that Gordon isn’t afraid to have conversations about various topics. They aren’t afraid to equip their students to be critical thinkers as they navigate their core belief systems up against other beliefs in the world.

What do you enjoy doing during your free time?
In my free time you will find me with my husband Chris and our son Samuel. Whether it is looking for geese on the quad, playing in the pond or taking a drive somewhere together. You can also find me at our CrossFit Gym. We love to fill our lives with movement and really good food!

Favorite memory from College:
One of my favorite memories are the game nights that my brother apartment would play with my roommates and me. On Friday nights we would all gather (12 of us) and laugh and play

What is your favorite hall event?
I have always loved dessert night! The opportunity to meet each resident and spend some facetime at the beginning of the semester is so wonderful!
