THE MARINE BIOLOGY INSTITUTE (MBI)
Experience marine systems of New England firsthand! This intensive, four credit course combines lecture, lab and field work to introduce you to the marine organisms in our area. The course is offered as part of Gordon's May Term and is offered on even-numbered years (next: 2012).
The course is designed to partially fulfill requirements for the Marine Biology concentration within the Biology major, but all students with interest and appropriate backgrounds are welcome to join us this summer.
GET YOUR HANDS WET
In addition to lectures by guest faculty, you will have the opportunity to visit many marine systems right here on the North Shore and in surrounding New England. You will take part in research and the collection of data from a variety of marine environments, including:
