GOALS
We believe that career development is a lifelong process. Our goal is to bring students and alumni into the process by helping them to discover their gifts and how they may best be utilized. Our services reflect this by providing opportunities to discover one's interests, skills, values, personality and explore how they relate to the world of work.

Services:

  • Assessment testing: helping people explore interests, gifts, values and personality style.
  • Career research library: books representing every major at Gordon College.
  • Individual counseling: discussing skills, interests and values for decision-making.
  • Cooperative Education placements (paid work/learning experiences related to one's major).
  • Internship advising and listings (unpaid, for credit work/learning experience related to major).
  • Resume, cover letter and graduate school essay critiquing.
  • Mock interviews for interviewing skill development.
  • Job search advising for seniors and alumni.
  • Programming on a variety of career/job search issues.
  • Graduate school advising and listings.
  • Graduate school testing preparation materials.
  • Full-time job and job fair listings for placement.
  • Gordon Link files connecting students with alumni.
  • Employer files: maintaining employer contacts for networking.
  • Credentials files: holding and sending recommendation letters for seniors and alumni.
