The East-West Institute's programs--centering on students, teaching, learning and scholarship--offer a whole package of East Asian experience inside and outside Gordon. This package includes:
East Asian Studies Minor
An interdepartmental minor offering training in language, literature, culture, history, politics, economy, society and foreign relations of East Asian countries, particularly China, Japan and Korea.
China Seminar (EB291/HI291B)
A 2-credit course covering the history and business of China, including a 20-day tour of mainland China and Hong Kong's business and historical centers.
One Semester Study in China

East-West Scholarships
The Scholarships are open to Gordon students of all majors in good academic standing and with competitive East Asian study plans.
East-West Lectures/ Faculty Forum
A lecture series bringing national and international scholars and experts in Asian Studies to Gordon.

JAEAR publishes cutting-edge academic articles on trans-Pacific international relations with a world-wide readership in North America, Europe and Asia.
Lunar New Year Festivities
An all-campus festival celebrating the diversity of East Asian cultural heritage. Activities include Asian movie showings, presentations, art exhibitions, crafts, music, a Ping-Pong tournament, food and more.
