Dr. David W. Rox, conductor
The Gordon College Wind Ensemble, the largest instrumental touring ensemble in the Music Department, is a select musical organization comprised of musicians from the Music Department as well as other majors. The ensemble performs a varied repertoire, ranging from classical wind band compositions and marches to orchestral transcriptions and sacred works. Dr. David Rox, director of bands, is founder and conductor of the Wind Ensemble.
Performances and Tours
In addition to performing regularly in concert and at Gordon's renowned Christmas Gala, the Wind Ensemble performs frequently for chapel services on campus and at a number of administrative functions. The ensemble performs for schools and churches throughout New England. Students are given the opportunity to minister through music to audiences in North America while visiting many historically and musically significant places.
