Music Scholarships

SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID
A number of scholarships are available from the Department of Music and are awarded annually for both outstanding performance ability and musical leadership. Scholarships are awarded by the faculty to outstanding incoming music majors based on the entrance audition and requirements and range in amounts from $1,000 to $5,000. Awards are renewable annually based on successful completion of course requirements.

Two special vocal scholarships are available to incoming music majors whose major instrument is voice. The Gordon Vocal Scholars Program awards an annual scholarship of $6,000, and the Hannay Vocal Honors Scholarship is a $5,000 scholarship. Auditioned incoming students are automatically considered for music scholarships-no additional paperwork is necessary. All returning majors are eligible annually for department scholarships, awarded by the faculty for exemplary musical and academic leadership.
