When should I send my year-end gift to count for the current tax year?
Year-end gifts must be postmarked December 31 to be recorded in that tax year. The same is not true for gifts being made to count within the College's fiscal giving cycle, July 1-June 30, your gift must be received prior to June 30 to be applied to the current fiscal year.
Year-end credit card gifts must be submitted online or in person by noon, December 28. Credit card transactions must be processed prior to December 31 in order to be recorded in the current tax year, and gifts arriving after December 28, may not be able to be processed by the banks by December 31.
Yes, every gift makes a difference, especially from alumni. Annual gifts of any size, particularly those made to The Gordon College Fund (Gordon's Annual Fund), play an important role in helping Gordon continue to provide an excellent liberal arts education, spiritual development and academic freedom informed by a framework of faith. Alumni gifts of any size help the College to secure gifts from foundations and corporations by showing your support of your alma mater.
No, some of Gordon's strongest alumni supporters actually graduated from a different school. Remember, we will consider you an alumna/us after attending one semester. If you believe in the value of offering new generations of students an excellent liberal arts education, spiritual development and academic freedom informed by a framework of faith, we welcome your support.
The Gordon College Fund is the highest annual giving priority for the College. This fund makes up the difference between tuition and the actual cost of education.
Gordon College is a 501(c)3 non-profit institution. Your gift to Gordon is tax deductible as allowed by law. A receipt will be issued for your gift.
The online giving form offers several giving options for gifts. Gifts to The Gordon College Fund are unrestricted and go to areas of highest impact.

Financial aid for deserving students continues to be a challenge for both students and Gordon College. When it comes to meeting the costs of a college education, it must begin with the students and their families. But many families simply can't afford the full amount. The Partners Scholarship Program provides you the opportunity to help bridge the financial gap many families. Partners operates as our "current endowment."
Gordon recognizes gifts according to the College's fiscal year, which runs from July 1 to June 30.
