Cooperative Education & Career Services Advisory Board

The purpose of the Board is to participate in the development of the Cooperative Education & Career Services programs in the following ways:

  1. Identifying employment needs and expanding the visibility of the Gordon College Cooperative Education program in local communities.
  2. Identifying cooperative education, internship or employment opportunities for Gordon students.
  3. Meeting with students to discuss career opportunities and when appropriate serving as mentors and positive business/professional role models.
  4. Providing (and recommending) speakers for classes and other Career Services campus events. Participate as guest speakers in career seminars or panel discussions on career topics and attend the employment fair when fitting.
  5. Evaluating the Cooperative Education & Career Services programming.
  6. Network with various organizations such as Chambers of Commerce, professional and business groups and human resource departments to promote Gordon College, its students and work-learning programs. Invite one’s professional and community contacts to Gordon College and specifically to Cooperative Education & Career Services events such as the Annual Meeting, networking receptions, etc. A special emphasis of any networking event will be to connect employers with students including forums for professionals to meet with students.
