Student Government

The Gordon College Student Association (GCSA) is a student elected body that serves as a bridge between students and administration and meets weekly as a forum, cabinet, council, and committees.
They work to:

  • Represent the student body to the administration, faculty, staff, and outside concerns
  • Administer and fund clubs and organizations
  • Provide support and funding for student interests
  • Organize our three student publications:
    • The Idiom - an art and poetry journal
    • The Tartan - a student newspaper
    • The Hypernikon - the Gordon yearbook

THE LINES OF COMMUNICATION
The GCSA works to bring about changes desired by the student community. The GCSA has initiated a number of means of communication between students and the rest of the Gordon College community.  They include student town hall meetings, appointment of students to various academic and administrative committees, and a network of Representatives-at-Large and other officers who interact with other students all over campus to discuss their concerns.  The GCSA also has an office in the lower level of the Lane Student Center where visitors are always welcome.

You will also be able to start campus wide discussions by posting opinions on the Wittenburg Window (named after the cathedral Martin Luther nailed his famous 95 Theses to in 1517). This is an exciting opportunity to engage your fellow students in a constructive discussion in a respectful manner.
