Inaugural Lecture Recital of the Salzburg Institute of Gordon College

The inaugural event of the Salzburg Institute of Gordon College will be held this Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 3 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall.

The afternoon will feature our artist-in-residence Professor Stan Ford of the Mozarteum University; Andreas Stadler, director of the Austrian Cultural Forum New York; and internationally acclaimed Lithuanian pianist Ieva Jokubaviciute. Praised for her "razor-sharp intelligence and wit" (The Washington Post) her piano performances have been described as "elegant and engaging" (The Wall Street Journal), Ms. Jokubaviciute will perform works by Brahms, Beethoven and Alban Berg. Masterclasses
On Monday, November 15, Stan Ford, professor of piano at the Mozarteum University, and the Salzburg Institute’s artist-in-residence, will conduct master classes for Gordon College piano majors.
