COURSE OF STUDY
Students benefit from a rich selection of integrated courses that include the foundations and development of Western society as well as global cultures. Living on Boston's historic North Shore, in the heart of New England, provides students with a host of beyond-the-classroom learning opportunities, through historical sites, libraries, museums, and more.

Highlights of our curriculum include courses in:

  • The Ancient Mediterranean World and the Near East
  • Late Antiquity and Byzantium
  • Early Islam
  • Medieval and Renaissance Europe
  • Modern Europe
  • US History—colonial through the present
  • European and American Intellectual History
  • American Foreign Policy

Students receive a multi-faceted educational experience through:

THE GLOBAL EXPERIENCE
Time to pack your bags and your books. Students can choose from a variety of semester, year, short-term, or summer abroad programs through the Global Education Office (GEO). Tuition for the programs is the same as a regular semester or year on campus. Check out some of the many opportunities:
