Parking and Special Needs

Parking
There will be attendants to direct and assist parking for Baccalaureate and both Commencements.

In case of an indoor Bachelor’s Commencement in the Bennett Center, a drop-off area will be provided in the parking lot across the street from the Bennett Center. Drop-off directly in front of the Bennett Center or along Grapevine Road is prohibited. There will be a shuttle from the Woodland Parking Lot that does drop off passengers at the front door of Bennett.

Parking for RVs or other vehicles too large to fit in one normal parking space must be by prior arrangement. Contact Glenn Deckert at at least two weeks in advance of Commencement day.

Provisions for Guests with Special Needs
The Ken Olsen Science Center, the Gordon Memorial Chapel and the Bennett Center are handicap accessible. Hearing assistance packs and ASL interpretation will be available at Baccalaureate and the Bachelor’s Commencement.

Special needs parking will be in the Ken Olsen Science Center lot with additional space at the Gordon Chapel Parking Lot for Baccalaureate and outdoor Bachelor’s Commencement. In the case of an indoor Bachelor's Commencement the Bennett Center will be used. Use of these spaces is limited to those with state-issued handicap plates or placards unless special arrangements are made in advance. (Contact Glenn Deckert at ).

Ushers will assist guests who require accommodation for special seating for the Baccalaureate Service or either Commencement ceremony (wheelchair seating, etc.). Guests with special needs should plan to arrive at least 45 minutes early.
