Join The Fellowship

The Gordon College News Service Fellowship Program provides opportunities for students to serve the local media and broader online community by producing relevant and timely features and news stories. Fellows are dedicated to the betterment of their writing and reporting skills and actively explore the journalistic field. Each fellow receives four to eight academic credits for internship requirements of the Communication Arts major (either a one-semester or full-year internship).

Requirements for GCNS Fellows include:

• Having completed a minimum of one journalism course;
• GPA of 3.0 and be in good standing as a junior or senior;
• Written for a publication (The Tartan, etc.);
• One recommendation from a professor;
• Resume;
• Two to four sample clips/reel.

At its core, the GCNS Fellowship communicates "News from the Next Generation."
