Each year Gordon students travel to Tijuana, Mexico over winter break, nurturing the long-term relationship between Gordon College and the community in Tijuana.
During past trips, participants have worked with La Casa de la Esperanza orphanage, as well as with churches in La Planicia and El Pipila. The most recent trips have been to La Casa de la Esperanza orphanage ministering to the children and workers. Students run a VBS program for the children, and spend time on work projects like building/repairing, painting, cleaning, and renovating various facilities. This past year, the team also spent a few days in San Diego, California, doing construction work with Habitat for Humanity.
