Each year Gordon students travel to Tijuana, Mexico over winter break to work with La Casa de la Esperanza orphanage. In addition to nurturing the long-term relationship between Gordon College and the community in Tijuana, students develop meaningful relationships with the children and workers as well.
The most recent trips to La Casa de la Esperanza orphanage have ministered to the children and workers. Students run a VBS program for the children, and spend time on work projects like building/repairing, painting, cleaning, and renovating various facilities. The team will also spend a few days in San Diego, California, doing work for a local church, La Iglesia Presbiteriana Emmanuel, and a local homeless outreach.
