Benefits for Part-time Employees

Part-time employees are eligible for certain benefits depending on the number of hours worked on a regular basis. Please refer to the benefit descriptions elsewhere on this site.

All Part-time employees, regardless of work schedule, may participate in:

Regular Part-time employees work a minimum of 1040 hours annually in a regular, budgeted position. Benefits include:

College Retirement Plan
Emeriti Retiree Health Plan
Vacation and Sick time at 50% of the fulltime rate
Paid holidays if the holiday falls on a normally scheduled work day

Flexible Spending Accounts
Commonwealth Choice Health Insurance Option--Massachusetts residents who are 18 years of age are eligible to sign up for any of the various medical insurance options available through the state's Commonwealth Connector. Those signing up will have the advantage of a low cost medical insurance option with the ease of payroll deductions that are paid on a pre-tax basis. Low income employees may be eligible for low or no cost medical insurance through the Commonwealth Care program.
