Judy Dean is Professor of Economics at Brandeis University. She graduated from Gordon College with a B.A. in economics and went on to Cornell University to earn an M.A. and a Ph.D. in economics.
Judy’s teaching and research focus on the impact of trade policies on developing countries. Prior to joining Brandeis, she was Assistant Professor at Bowdoin College and Associate Professor at the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University. She also served as a Senior International Economist in the Office of Economics, Research Division, of the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC). Judy has consulted for the World Bank and the OECD and has been a visiting scholar at the Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi, India. She also served for many years on the Board of World Relief.
Judy is a member of Park Street Church, an active member and past president of the Association of Christian Economists.
