Dr. John M. Gurley

John Gurley was raised in the Midwest in a minister's family. He moved east to attend Gordon College, graduating summa cum laude in 1978 with a B.S. in biology. After graduating from University of Michigan Medical School in 1982, he finished residencies in both family practice and ophthalmology.

Since returning to the North Shore of Boston in 1991, he and his wife, Leslie, and their three children have resided in Manchester, Massachusetts, where John is in private practice at Gurley Eye Care Associates.

John's family are active members at Christ Church, Hamilton. John has sung in the choir, led the Stewardship Committee, and helps lead worship. His wife, Leslie, was head of the Altar Guild for many years, has taught Sunday school and served on the Vestry. Both are active in Christ Church's ministry to Gordon College students.

John keeps active golfing, playing tennis and skiing. He also enjoys playing piano, collecting art and traveling.
