International students are a valuable and integral part of the Gordon College community. We take pride in our internationally diverse student body, while understanding that there are certain needs unique to the international community. Gordon provides services to help international students adjust to a new culture and to Gordon College, and we welcome inquiries about our International programs.

INTERNATIONAL APPLICATION PROCESS
A successful application for admission to Gordon gives evidence of strong academic promise and of a decision to follow Jesus Christ. Other factors that contribute to an applicant's chances of acceptance include athletic experience, musical or dramatic experience, multicultural perspective or proven leadership ability in service to school, church and community. Students are prepared for the curriculum at Gordon when they have successfully completed courses in the following areas at the college preparatory level:

  • English--four years
  • Mathematics--two years, three years preferred
  • Science--two years, three years preferred, including at least one year of a laboratory science
  • Social Studies--two years
  • Foreign Language--two years required (of the same language), four years strongly recommended
  • Acceptable electives: five courses

Application Requirements
The following credentials are required for completing admissions and financial aid applications to Gordon. Gordon reserves the right to require additional application materials, should they be necessary, in order to make a sound admission decision. It is the students' responsibility to submit records of all academic courses in which they have enrolled.

March 1, 2010: All required application materials must be received by this date including the following:

  • Application--application fee is waived for international students.
  • Interview--by phone or second personal reference in lieu of interview. An interview should be scheduled only after application is submitted. To schedule an interview, email Admissions at with two dates and times that would be convenient for you. Confirm your phone number with country and city code prefixes. Gordon will reply confirming one of those dates and times, and then call you. Please use your local time when communicating your date and time preferences--we will translate it to Eastern Standard Time.
  • Official Translated academic records from all secondary school(s), as well as all records from universities attended if applying as a university transfer student.
  • Personal Reference
  • Academic Reference
  • Official SAT 1, ACT or TOEFL results (please keep in mind the difference in time between date of test taken and date of test score results submitted). The links are SAT 1 or TOEFL.
  • Certification of Finance Form.
