MMEA Conference

Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA):
Conference 2010

Gordon College is pleased to announce to MMEA members that they may receive graduate credit through Gordon's Master of Music Education program for attending the annual MMEA conference, March 18-20, 2010.

Course: GMU671A Special Topics—MMEA Conference 

Credit 
One graduate credit; may be transferable to another institution if approved by that institution. Credit is applicable as elective credit in Master of Music Education Program at Gordon.

Cost
$250; due with submission of registration form. Make check payable to Gordon College.

Registration
Pre-register by sending the registration form along with payment to the address listed below. MMEA conference participants may also register at the conference on March 18.

Requirements             

  • Minimum of 15 contact hours in workshops and concerts, at least 10 of which must be in sessions
  • Proof of attendance (i.e. copy of conference receipt)
  • Final project (see below)

Final project
The final project consists of two parts:

  1. A detailed list of sessions attended including contact hours
    for each
  2. A summary paper of no more than five double-spaced pages detailing specific knowledge and techniques gained

Grading
All students will receive a letter grade; receipt of a late paper will result in an automatic grade reduction. Grade reports will be sent at the end of May. Anyone requiring an official transcript must download a form from the transcript page and submit it to the Registrar
