Work with the Orientation coordinators, director, and additional core staff members to execute Orientation Welcome Week.
Recruit, train and develop Orientation Crew Leader staff and equip them to care for and lead incoming students.
Strong general computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canvas).
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to speak in public.
Ability to relate in a courteous and professional manner with students, faculty, and staff at all levels of the college community.
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
Spring Semester:
Hour-long weekly core staff meetings
Quad 3 goal: understand our team and how we can work best together
Quad 4 goal: recruit, hire and train O Crew Leaders
Each core staffer is assigned a core crew, consisting of a group of orientation crew leaders that they are responsible for
Each core staff member is given a role of what they will be managing during Orientation, Welcome Week
Attend weekend Core Staff Retreat
Summer:
Few touchpoints with coordinators and director, and reaching out to your core crew
August
Arrive to campus mid-August a few days prior to the Sealed Leadership Conference for additional training
Execute and manage pre-assigned tasks during orientation
Lead core crew and support O Crew leaders as they care for students
Students will be paid hourly for spring core staff meetings in the spring but not for the outside work to prepare for those meetings. Core staff are then given a $500 leadership grant for their work in August.
Applications will be availableby the end of the fall semester.

Meet with Orientation Director and additional Orientation Coordinator to begin spring semester planning
Spring Semester:
Weekly planning meetings with Orientation Director and Coordinator to plan Core Staff meeting
Hour-long weekly core staff meetings

Summer:
July 1st begin working in the student life office under the supervision of the Orientation Director
Fall and Spring Semester:
Coordinators will be paid hourly for meetings with Orientation Director and Core staff meetings but not for the outside work to prepare for those meetings.
Summer:
Coordinators will be paid hourly for their full workdays with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Students can take a few unpaid vacation days in the summer but this must be discussed and approved by Orientation Director
Orientation Week:
Coordinators are given an $800 leadership grant for their work on Orientation and no longer submit hours once the Leadership Conference/pre-season training begins
