NYCAMS—New York Center for Art and Media Studies—is a faith-based artist and writing residency program that offers pariticipants the opportunity to live, create, and interact in one of the cutting edge cultural capitals of the world, New York City.
Students in the program live in apartments at Packard Square, a residential building in Long Island City. Bordering Midtown Manhattan and just one subway stop into Queens on the N/Q/7 line, the apartments are located near the historic Queensboro Bridge and Courthouse Square, and within walking distance of the P.S.1. Contemporary Art Center and numerous artist studios. Each apartment is equipped with WiFi access, furniture, a designer kitchen and basic kitchen amenities, a shared bedroom, standard sized beds and dressers, bedroom and living room closets, and a balcony.
Students provide their own bedding and towels, personal amenities, cleaning products, food, and other items they deem necessary for a semester in New York.
