Each year at Homecoming the alumni office hosts a banquet to honor alumni of Gordon and Barrington College. These alumni have impacted their work place, community or the lives of those around them. If there is someone you know who is deserving of this award please nominate her or him below.
ALUMNI AWARDS CRITERIA
A. J. Gordon Missionary Service Award
Honors faithful service as a career missionary, having spent at least 10 years in a cross-cultural setting; consideration should be given to those who have served with integrity and a commitment to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Alumnus/a of the Year Award
Recognizes outstanding achievement in the vocation to which God has called him or her as well as recognition by peers and persons outside his or her profession (national recognition may be desirable as an indication of accomplishment, but is not a requirement).
Jack Good Community Service Award
For outstanding service in areas beyond personal vocation, modeling Christian servanthood in the local community; consideration should be given those who have served faithfully and with dedication.
Lifetime Achievement Award
Honors an alumnus/na or friend for a lifetime of service to the College, its community and mission.
Winifred Currie Alumni Award in Education
Acknowledges an educator for his or her outstanding service to the field and community. Preference is given to classroom teachers in pre-K through high school levels who have actively participated in the profession outside the classroom, and who have been role models for their peers, their friends and their students.
Young Alumnus/a of the Year
The Young Alumnus/a Award recognizes an alumnus/a (within 10 years of his or her graduation) whose lifestyle of servant leadership has resulted in a significant contribution to workplace, church and/or community.
