Vice President for Finance and Administration
Michael Ahearn is vice president for finance and administration at Gordon College, overseeing the College’s finances, Physical Plant and Auxiliary Services. In his time at the College, Mr. Ahearn has focused on strengthening the College’s financial foundation through a bond refinancing and through improved financial planning for the long term.
Ahearn earned a B.A. with honors in history from Colgate University, an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College with a concentration in finance. He went on to receive an additional M.S. in applied economics and finance from the Simon School at the University of Rochester, where, as a graduate student, he taught managerial economics and corporate finance courses. After completing his graduate studies, Ahearn was a senior associate at Analysis Group/Integral, Inc. He later served as financial program manager at the Massachusetts Port Authority for 14 years, overseeing bond financing, budget plans, investment portfolios and capital requirements for the redevelopment of Logan Airport. Ahearn joined Gordon College in June 2009.
