- Guide to Social Science and Religion – index to periodicals covering religion and social science
- Health Reference Center Academic (Gale/Infotrac) – nursing and allied health journals, plus personal health information sources
- Health Source - Consumer Edition (EBSCO) – consumer health articles and information
- Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition (EBSCO) – scholarly journals in many medical disciplines; includes medical dictionary
- Lexis-Nexis Academic – news, business, legal, medical, and reference information. This database also covers sociology/social work journals.

- Thomas - find federal legislative information such as bills and resolutions, activity in Congress, committee information, and more

- Gordon's Periodical List is a complete list of all journals available through Jenks Library (full text in databases, online, and print).

- You can search for a journal title in Periodical List.
- You can also see subjects under the category of Social Sciences in Periodical List. Click on a subject such as "Social History and Conditions", "Social Pathology. Social and Public Welfare", "Sociology", or "The Family" to view the journals available.
- Print journals are located in the periodicals area on the 4th floor of Jenks. Please note that journals are arranged alphabetically by title, not by subject area.

- Information for Practice – news and emerging scholarship in the field of social work
- Intute Social Policy lists and describes journal articles, papers, data, government publications, government bodies and many other resources.
- NationMaster – Compiles data from such sources as the CIA World Factbook, UN, and OECD. Using a search form, you can generate maps and graphs on all kinds of statistics.
