  • Contemporary Literary Criticism (Gale/Infotrac) - critical essays on contemporary authors
  • Deutsche Presse (Lexis-Nexis) - search across German language news sources in Lexis-Nexis Academic 
  • Informe (Gale/Infotrac) - Spanish language magazines
  • Italian Language News Sources (Lexis-Nexis) - search across Italian language news sources in Lexis-Nexis Academic
  • Lexis-Nexis Academic - news and reference information.

  • Literature Resources from Gale (Gale/Infotrac)
    Research authors and their works, literary movements and genres. Search across LitFinder and Literature Resource Center to find full text of literary works, journal articles, literature criticism, reviews, biographical information and overviews.

  • Literary Reference Center (EBSCO) - information about authors and their works from antiquity to the present day. Sources include books, journals, literary encyclopedias, and other reference works.

  • Literary Reference Center Enhanced Interface (EBSCO) - information about authors and their works in a highly graphical interface. Sources include books, journals, literary encyclopedias, and other reference works.

  • MLA International Bibliography (EBSCO) - bibliography of journal articles, books and dissertations with links to many full text articles

  • Oxford Reference Online: Linguistics - Find definitions and more from Oxford reference titles. Please log out when you are finished searching. Our subscription allows one user at a time.

  • Sage Journals Online - a searchable collection of scholarly online journals published by Sage, covering many subject areas including language and linguistics
  • Spanish Language News Combined (Lexis-Nexis) - search across Spanish language news sources in Lexis-Nexis Academic
  • Toute La Presse - Français (Lexis-Nexis) - search across French language news sources in Lexis-Nexis Academic

JOURNALS

  • Gordon's Periodical List is a complete list of all journals available through Jenks Library (full text in databases, online, and print).
    • You can search for a journal title in Periodical List.
    • You can also see subjects under the category of Language and literature in Periodical List. Click on a subject to view the journals available.
  • Print journals are located in the periodicals area on the 4th floor of Jenks. Please note that journals are arranged alphabetically by title, not by subject area.

  • Bibelportal - the largest German language Bible portal, sponsored by the German Bible Society  (in German)

  • Bible Gateway - search Bible translations in many different languages including German, Spanish, French, and Italian
     

  • Dict.cc English-German Dictionary - dictionary translation service, updated and verified by users

  • MDBG Chinese-English Dictionary - online Chinese-English dictionary, that includes sound files, radicals, stroke order, and links to online flash cards

  • OneLook Dictionary Search - searches across 900 online dictionaries, including Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, and Spanish

  • Theologie und Literatur - an Internet portal for interdisciplinary research in the area of theology and literature  (in German)
