EndNote FAQ

What is an EndNote library and how many should I create?

Within the program, a Library is simply a personal locally saved database of references. At first glance it might seem reasonable to create a separate Library for every project or paper. However, the resulting scattering of references across many files makes it difficult to find and reuse references. Use EndNote's keywording and search features to created needed subgroups with your database of references.

What is a Connection File?

EndNote uses Connection Files to let you connect directly to library electronic resources and download references without leaving EndNote. Connection Files for subscription library electronic resources will work only on-campus.
