Fall 2014 Orientation 

Before joining the rest of Gordon’s incoming freshmen for Orientation, international students and U.S. citizens living abroad are invited to attend the International Orientation hosted by the International Student Organization (ISO) and the Global Education Office (GEO).  (Please note: F-1 Visa students are required to attend International Student Orientation as indicated on your I-20).

You may arrive as early as Tuesday, August 19. Orientation begins on the evening of Wednesday, August 20th. Click here to enter your flight information >>

6:00 p.m. Welcome Dinner for all new international students and families, and the International Student Organization (ISO) leaders. 
 
8:00 p.m. Gym Night Introduction to small groups.
   
Thurs, Aug 21
 
8:00 a.m.

Breakfast in small groups

9:00 a.m.

Session One: Introduction to US and Gordon College Culture

Session Two: Introduction to Important Student Services Introduction to Counseling Center, Health Services, Academic Support, Student Life, and Global Education Office

Lunch with International Faculty

2:00 p.m.

Shopping Trip to Mall

6:00 p.m.

Dinner-- Cookout

5 p.m. All-Student Orientation begins with a welcome dinner and meeting your Orientation CREW


Orientation will cover U.S. laws for visa students, academic and cultural issues and offer perspectives from returning Gordon College international students. Lunch will be provided.

During Orientation there will be an optional shopping trip for supplies.

Please note: As you plan your La Vida experience, we recommend that you select a La Vida experience that is NOT the August 2014 trip. The August 2014 trip conflicts with International Student Orientation, which you are required to attend as a condition of your F-1 Visa.

Spring 2015 Orientation

Orientation for students enrolling for Spring 2015 will be held January 12-13. International Students can move into their residence halls on Sunday, January 11th

Transportation to campus from the airport or train station will be provided by orientation staff.  Please email and with your arrival information.
