International Students often have unique experiences, challenges, and questions as they adjust to life at Gordon. To help with this, International Student Pre-Orientation programming occurs just before general Orientation, and is meant to provide you with additional time and important information as you transition. International Student Orientation runs from 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 19th, through Friday, August 21st, and is mandatory for all Visa students. Other students who are US Citizens but are living abroad are not required to attend, but are encouraged to join us as well.
Before you arrive to campus, there are a few important tasks for you to accomplish:
Work with International Student Services to complete all Visa requirements and paperwork. Contact our International Student Specialist for assistance at Caroline.Dixongordon.edu.
Once you know your travel plans, request a free International Student Airport Pickup. If you will NOT be needing transportation, please email the International Student Services Coordinator at Jocelyn.Riouxgordon.edu.
Using the New Student Wizard, set up your Gordon username and email. You will need your birthdate and student ID to complete this step. Your student ID will be mailed to you.
Begin working through GC101. GC101 is an online “pre-orientation” introduction to the College. We’ve included a wide-range of information that will make your transition to Gordon as smooth as possible. There are several tasks that you will need to complete which are outlined in this program.
Review the international student Orientation schedule (below) and begin planning your arrival. Consult the packing list as you prepare for life on campus!
