The Department of Education at Gordon College is delighted to host the 2008 ICCTE biennial conference. This year's theme is:

FROM THE CLASSROOM TO THE WORLD: PREPARING TEACHERS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

We invite you to join colleagues from numerous Christian College teacher education programs to discuss this important theme. This year's conference will begin with an opening address by Gordon's Scholar in Residence and former president of Westmont College, Dr. Stan Gaede.

The featured speaker for our conference will be Dr. Kina S. Mallard, Academic Dean at Gordon College.  Dr. Mallard's presentation is titled, "Millenials: Future Teachers We Prepare Today".  A native Tennessean, she received her bachelor's degree in theatre from Middle Tennessee State University and her M.A. and Ph.D. in communications from University of Tennessee.  Dr. Mallard's expertise is in developing leaders in higher education.  She is a regular contributor to The Department Chair publication and speaks across the country on leadership topics including working with millennial students and faculty.
